SUMMARY:Advocacy – Public Event at Qualicum Beach Museum -The Royal BC Museum wants to hear from you!
DESCRIPTION:The Royal BC Museum wants to hear from you!\nPlease join us at the Qualicum Beach Museum for a community conversation with representatives from the Royal BC Museum. Through a collaborative process, we will dive deeper into the key themes and questions the RBCM is exploring as they envision the future of the provincial museum. With your help, people from all corners of the province can feel welcomed, included, and represented. \nAlongside calls for public participation, the RBCM is making special effort to have conversations and collect feedback from First Nations, Inuit, and Metis peoples, intercultural communities, GLAM sector partners (galleries, libraries, archives, and museums), 2SLGBTQIA+, people with accessibility needs, Chambers of Commerce, and municipalities across BC. Your participation ensures that your voice will be heard.\nTuesday March 5, 2024 at 1 p.m.\nThe event is free but registration is encouraged. Please contact the Qualicum Beach Museum or visit the link in the invitation below. \nTo learn more about the Royal BC Museum’s Community Engagement phases, visit https://www.royalbcmuseum.bc.ca/community-engagement.\n
