Illana, Executive Director of The Old School House (TOSH), will speak about the work being done at TOSH and Island-wide with Creative Coast, a collaboration of artists and art organizations created to optimize the po- tential of the arts sector on Vancouver Island. Originally from Calgary, Il lana received her undergraduate degree at UBC and a Master’s of Arts in Visual Arts Administration at New York University. After filling various roles in the New York art scene for 12 years, Illana moved to Vancouver Island to become head of TOSH. She is also a member of Creative Coast’s Steering Committee (www.creativecoast.ca).
