Public Event of interest to members

Parksville Council has approved the 19 bed Treatment Centre proposal to move forward to a Public Forum on Nov 22, 6 p.m. in the Parksville Civic and Technology Centre.

Oceanside CAT (OCAT) will be working with Moms Stop the Harm and other community groups to encourage those in favour of helping the recovery of people in our community, to attend the forum and support the Treatment Centre.

We will have purple ribbons available for those who support recovery and the Treatment Centre, and also orange ribbons to show support for reconciliation as we move forward on this initiative. Island Health has agreed to consult with Elders in the naming of the Centre.
