UN 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence
Our club honours the UN 16 Days of Acivism aganist Gender based Violence by creating 2 moving displays in the Qualicum Beach Town Hall, and the Parksville City Hall.
Our members curate a display of red dresses which are hung in both locateions, together with some materials to provide context to the duaplays.
The empty red dresses are displayed to remind us of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) lost as a result of gender-based violence.
